First thing's first. I was wrong about the election.
There. Got that out of the way.
Now, we have to rally around our new president who, in promising change, is largely appointing DC insiders.
So, the economy is tanking. The government has set aside money to help bail out some businesses. The Big Three auto makers, not wanting to miss out on the gravy train, go to Washington to plead poverty. Turns out, each CEO flew down in his own corporate jet. They could have jetpooled. Or, (the horror!) flown commercial.
I don't need to dwell on the dissonance (stupidity?).
My point is - as it often is - public relations is about what you DO and NOT what you SAY. If your actions don't match the message, you're toast. Just like the three CEOs, your credibility will be gone.
Take the time to consider your actions and honestly compare them to your message. Do they fit? If not, call us, and we'll help marry the two.
